Dear Mom #3 What? It's the end of October?

I don't know about you, but my October was insanely busy... But that's ok considering you come in practically one day! Our ward's Fall Festival was a success, if you can call 60 crazy kids running around the church a success... A few hours before the festival David and I had the opportunity to attend a meeting with Elder Oaks concerning the influx of missionaries in our area. The majority of the time, however, was spent in discussing the ward counsel. I left feeling very uplifted and encouraged to carry on with faith despite the challenges of our ward. We arrived at the party 10 minutes after it started. I'm way bummed I forgot my camera, but we took a picture of my costume after we got home. I'm Miss Understood... My hair was in pigtails, I had funky (though currently popular in some parts of the world) glasses and I wore one of my old fancy dresses from high school.

Who knows what is going on with David's hair...

Our ward is blessed with endless opportunities to feed the missionaries. We could feed them every week if we wanted. Feeding the missionaries also gives me a chance to use some of my awesome baking pans. Can you tell they're beehives?

At some point in my life I am destined to be in the YW and over the beehive class.

This is just one of the 9 sets of missionaries in our ward. Love them. I met Sister Bird (the missionary on the left) on her first day in Georgia.

Your Dear Rachel post and had a picture of celebratory donuts which made me go out and buy some donuts of my own in celebration of having a Krispy Kream shop 1 block from my house.

On Friday we're going to Fabric World. Maybe we'll get lucky find some fabric like these I found about a month ago:

I can't wait for you to come see what my world is like and where I frequent. Love you!

Julie's Reception

Julie's reception was beautiful. Here are a few (or 27) pictures capturing the night.

Grandma and Grandpa Reece

I love this. Also, I'm quite proud of my fabric banners I think they turned out really nice.

They had candle's on top of the porch railing.

People walked through the front doors...

...and immediately on your right was advice for the bride and groom.

And on the left a little ahead of the advice jar was their guest book, which was technically a picture frame where each guest signed their name on the mat. I thought it was an awesome idea.

All of the frames were spray painted by Melanie.

Ahead of that was a slide show of the couple. The sign says "watch as we grow."

Just ahead of the gift table was a door leading to the back porch where each guest could greet the bride and groom.

You know how the details make the wedding? They had a kids table but instead of normal paper and crayons, they had coloring pages of the happy couple. I didn't know this was possible!

Here are a few more pictures of the reception. It had been raining all afternoon but it stopped just in time for us to set up the flowers and bring out the food.

The after-party.

All four dresses were handmade with love by none other than the mother of the bride herself.

A Reorganized Bedroom

A week or so ago David had the grand idea to reorganize our bedroom. He's been talking about it for a while, but I always had dismissed the idea because of the two bookcases in our room. I DID NOT want to move the books, let alone our desk and bed and dresser...

But it's amazing how reorganizing our bedroom made me feel refreshed and organized. I love our new layout much better than our old one. For our third anniversary this year David wanted to get me a chair. Yes, a place to call my own. His name is Arnold. Arnold the armchair.

This next picture shows that while I made an effort to make our bedroom clean, I got bored and didn't want to put a few things away... that and I didn't shut our closet so now you can see how many freakin' clothes I have.

I love how this corner of the room feels separated and cozy. It's my own little book nook.

And I have to show off my new big pillows. I've been eyeing them for over a year now and finally ikea had them in stock when we went to look at chairs.

And here is a very messy room but it shows our old layout. Our bed was up against the window with our two nightstands on the side.

The back of this dress is super duper pretty.

I like my zoom function, thankyouverymuch.

The awesome professional photographer.

Can anyone deny that she takes the medal for most beautiful?
